Humanizing Homelessness: Miracle Messages Launches in Union Square
The Union Square Business Improvement District & Foundation has launched a new pilot program in partnership with Miracle Messages to support people in need within the Union Square community. Miracle Messages is a nonprofit organization that creates connections for individuals experiencing homelessness to their support networks, including long lost family and friends. Through compassionate outreach, this partnership focuses on treating homeless individuals as people to love, not problems to solve.
World Famous Paparazzi Dogs Land in San Francisco from Australia
San Francisco, CA – The Union Square Business Improvement District & Foundation and artists Gillie and Marc from Australia bring Paparazzi Dogs to San Francisco, the first time on the west coast, United States. These bronze statues can be seen one block away from Union Square along the cable car line at the corner of Powell Street and O’Farrell.
New San Francisco Community-Focused Charitable Organization Launched- The Union Square Foundation
Since its formation, The Union Square Foundation has raised $408,000, including a $200,000 donation from Chris Larsen Fund, a donor advised fund of the Silicon Valley Community Foundation. Funds will be used to maintain the USBID’s innovative security camera network, which has been instrumental to the community in helping address crime and safety issues.
